The Brotherhood wine cellar at the Arlberg
Historic wine cellar at the Arlberg Hospiz Hotel
In the wine cellar of the Arlberg Hospiz hotel lies the world-renowned collection of large Bordeaux and Burgundy wines of Adi Werner, the "Wine King of the Arlberg."
In 1941, in the vineyards of the Château Clos de Sarpe Saint Emilion, the dreams for an exquisite Bordeaux wine in the Brotherhood wine cellar were harvested. Rarities from 1982 until 1986, excellent wines from the sunny year of 1990, those well-matured from 2000, and many more excite the palates and hearts of wine lovers.
More than 60 year old wine treasures that Adi Werner gladly opens for his guests rest in the beautiful stone cellar built in 1386 by Heinrich, the founder of the Brotherhood of St. Christoph.
Wine lovers be our guest
The time-honored walls of the Brotherhood wine cellar lend our wine tastings a special, almost indescribable flair. The philanthropic mindset of the Brotherhood of St. Christoph was born here. Many people have found protection in the preserved remains of the Hospiz built in 1386 that still exists today.
Today it is no longer wanderers seeking refuge against snow storms and poor weather, but famous and crowned heads who experience a vacation at the arlberg1800 RESORT, where their privacy is observed and protected.
